Volume 19-04
PINT SIZE POLKAS
PERFORMANCES
This Saturday, May 4, join me for my first ever appearance at the
La Crosse County Library in Onalaska, WI starting at 10 AM. I’m also
looking forward to visiting the Flagg-Rochelle Library again for my
11th straight year on Friday, May 17 for a little pre-summer polka fun
starting at 6:30 PM. Then before I hit the road for the summer, you
can catch my Pint Size Polkas show at Cutler Park in Waukesha for
another round of Pizza, Polkas and Preschool Art in the Park. May is
going to be an awesome month!
Then the day after
Memorial Day, for the third year in a row I’ll be kicking off my
summer touring season for Pint Size Polkas in Tulsa, OK for their
wonderful City-County library system. I’ve really enjoyed the three
summers I’ve spent there since 2014 and am looking forward to
returning again later next month! In June I’ll be back in TX, and then
making my first official appearances in Alabama and Florida the week
of June 10 before heading to Georgia for a return visit the week of
June 17. I’ll round out the month with performances in IA, IL, and WI,
including six shows at Summerfest June 28-30. This will mark our 10th
straight year performing on the Kids Stage there and we can’t wait –
hope you’ll come and help us celebrate! Stay tuned for news on my
crazy travel schedule in July with June’s newsletter. In the meantime,
be sure to visit the Events
page for complete details on all the places I’ll be
performing this summer.
THE MIKE SCHNEIDER
BAND UP COMING PERFORMANCES
The Milwaukee Moose Lodge and Old German Beer Hall have become two
staples in my schedule. I appear at both venues on almost a monthly
basis. In May, join me for a solo afternoon event at the Moose on
Thursday, May 16 starting at 12:30 PM. Then on Friday, May 18, the
band and I will be back at the Old German Beer Hall starting at 8:30
PM. Whether you’re looking to dance, take in an authentic Milwaukee
experience, or just enjoy some good music, food and fun, these two
venues have all your musical needs covered!
The summer Biergarten season also begins later next month with my
first solo appearance of the year at the Biergarten at Olbrich Park in
Madison on Saturday, May 25 starting at 4 PM. It’s located along the
shores of beautiful Lake Monona, and is easily one of the nicest, most
family-friendly (they have games and even sandboxes for the kids!)
Biergarten atmospheres you’ll ever want to experience.
In June we’re looking
forward to returning to Luther Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 23 for
their annual family picnic, which we’re had the pleasure of being part
of now for the last five years or so. And after a year hiatus, we’re
looking forward to taking the stage again at Veterans’ Memorial Park
in West Allis on Thursday, June 27 starting at 7 PM. For details on
all up coming Mike Schneider Band Events, please be sure to visit the
Schedule page at

CHRISTMAS RECORDING
UPDATE
I’m very happy to report that I’m continuing to make good progress on
my upcoming Christmas CD. I’ve finished writing and recording the main
parts for nine songs, and hope to have a tenth in a similar state of
completion by the end of this week. My goal is to have all my lead
parts done before the summer, and then get working on my second
accordion parts as well as the parts other musicians will be playing
when I get back early this Fall. Quick work unfortunately is not one
of my strong suits, but I hope to make up for that in the quality
department. I love the Christmas Season, and hope that joy comes
through the music! Stay tuned for more details as they become
available.
As always, be
sure to join our growing list of fans on Facebook

That's all for this
month. Thanks again and talk to you soon!
