Volume 23-06
A big summer lies ahead!
I'm very happy to report that this will be my busiest summer since
2019, and may be even busier than that plus a few other years prior!
The road trip for Pint Size Polkas starts this Saturday in Iowa City
before making my way through Kansas next week. The rest of the month
I'll be spending in MI, MN, OH, VA and WI. I will definitely be making
people aware of the accordion during National Accordion Awareness
Month!
On the traditional polka
front, I'll be making a very rare band appearance at Hofbräuhaus
Cleveland on Friday, June 16 between library shows in OH. I'll be
sharing the stage with two living polka legends, John Pecon, Jr. on
drums, and Ron Sluga on banjo. They were kind enough to help me out on
a TV spot in Cleveland back in 2009 when I first started Pint Size
Polkas, and we finally get to do a full gig together after all these
years! A very special thanks to Joey Tomsick for helping make this
extra gig possible. Hope to see all my Cleveland area friends at this
one-night-only event!
The following Monday,
June 19, I'll be doing my Pint Size Polkas program right across the
street from the National Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame at the
Euclid Public Library starting at 2 PM. Euclid is an historic place to
the style of polka music I play, and I very much look forward to
bringing my family program back there on June 19!
I'll also be doing a
special program on the History of Polka Music for adults at the
Goodyear Branch of the Akron Public Library on Monday, June 26 at
12:30 PM, so traditional polka fans have that to look forward to, as
well!
Be sure to visit the
Schedule page at
www.mikeschneiderband.com and the Events page
for details on everywhere I'm playing this month. Can't wait to see
all my library and polka friends out on the road!
As always, be
sure to join our growing list of fans on Facebook
here, or the Mike Schneider Band
here. Once you’re there, click the
Like button at the top of the page.
That's all for this
month. Thanks again and talk to you soon!
